METHODOLOGY / VERSION 0.1

Measure control,
not appearances.

DI attributes power to real-world entities and scores the minimum coordination needed to halt, censor, govern, or control a network.

AGGREGATION

Weak dimensions must matter.

A weighted geometric mean penalizes structural weaknesses more than a simple average. A verified critical control point can then cap the final score.

score = min( exp( Σ wᵢ · ln(sᵢ) ), risk cap )

MODEL SCOPE

PoS networks first.

Version 0.1 compares proof-of-stake networks only. PoW systems and rollups require different attack thresholds and privileged-control models.

PUBLICATION RULES

Evidence before authority.

  1. Consolidate validators and addresses into real entities.
  2. Attach a source, timestamp, confidence, and collection method.
  3. Show unknown shares instead of treating them as independent.
  4. Version every model and preserve reproducible snapshots.
  5. Label facts, estimates, and analyst judgment separately.
